Inclement Weather Procedure

The safety and security of our students are our utmost concern. While the Mass of the Holy Spirit is to be a celebration of our Catholic Schools on Monday January 29th and we hope all will be able to attend, we are planning contingencies in the case of inclement weather.

Each school will make the decision for their school on inclement weather through their normal protocol and announce to their families any changes in their school day.

Schools participating in this Mass will be coming from as far North as Forest Lake, as far West as Maple Lake and as far South as Faribault. As we know, Minnesota winters can affect various parts of the Archdiocese differently.

If more than 60% of the schools will be closed, have a delayed start, or anticipate an early dismissal on January 29th, the Mass of the Holy Spirit will be canceled for all schools. If the Mass is canceled due to inclement weather; it will not be rescheduled.

If it appears that 40% or more of the schools can attend – we will continue with the Mass as scheduled. The Mass will be recorded and posted on the Mass of the Holy Spirit Website, and we encourage all schools to watch it at a later date, especially if they were not able to attend in person.

The CSCOE Staff will be watching school closings closely and we ask you to refer to www.massoftheholyspirit.org/weather for updates on the status of the Mass. The decision to cancel the Mass due to weather will be made by 4:00 P.M. on January 28th.

Please pray for good weather for this exciting event and we hope to see everyone on January 29th!
